In 1988, the first year of the Arts & Crafts Conference, the show featured two contemporary craftsfirms producing items in the Arts & Crafts style and following the Arts & Crafts philosophy. Since that time the Contemporary Craftsfirms Show has grown to include approximately 50 of the country's finest artists, artisans and craftsfirms selling both interpretations and accurate replicas of Arts & Crafts antiques. These works range from furniture, art pottery and metalware to rugs, textiles, jewelry, frames, tiles, clocks, lighting and art.
Attendees who register for the three-day Conference Pass either directly through Bruce Johnson's office, this web site or by reserving a room at the Grove Park Inn do not need to purchase a separate ticket to any of the conference shows, including the Contemporary Craftsfirms Show.
The general public may purchase a ticket at the door for $10 that includes entry to the Antiques Show, the Contemporary Craftsfirms Show and the Books, Magazines & More Show for all three days. Tickets for high school and college students are $5. There is no charge for children under the age of 14. Due to the crowded aisles, strollers must be checked at the ticket booth.
Hours for the Contemporary Craftsfirms Show are Friday from 1:00pm until 6:00pm; Saturday from Noon until 6:00pm; and Sunday from 11:00am until 4:00pm.
