Update: December 2011
We are really getting excited around here, as we are finalizing the list of the daily Small Group Discussions and the details for the optional events, including the Preservation Society House Tour, the Craftsman Farms Thursday night banquet and the Asheville Art Museum Saturday evening reception.
We will be mailing the Information Packets to registered attendees on December 24th to give you some reading material between the holidays - and during halftime of one of the games. If you are not registered, there are still some rooms at the Grove Park Inn and at the Renaissance Hotel. See their rates and information under Lodging here.
We will also have the Information Packets available here, too.
Be sure to take a close look at the Pre-Conference Workshops, as they are a fantastic opportunity to spend time - hands-on time - with an expert in the fields of landscape design, embroidery, woodfinishing, print making, kitchen design, and stenciling.
Also, our latest feature -- an online Show Preview -- is up and running. Check it out to see what you will find in the show. And check back often as exhibitors are sending photos daily.
As always, if you have any questions, just give us a call here at 828-628-1915.
See you soon!
Bruce

Update: August 2011
We have finalized our selection of speakers and topics for our seminars, so check them out on our Agenda. While we are still tweaking some of the titles, I think you will agree that this is among the strongest field of seminars we have had in our 25-year history.
Speaking of 25 years, the exhibitors will be taking part in our celebration by each donating an item to either be given away at the seminars or included in the Silent Auction. With more than 100 exhibitors, this is going to be fun! Details will be included in the conference catalog, but two rules will apply: (1.) only the names of "Registered Conference Participants" (not general admission) will be in the box to be drawn (does not matter where you are staying); and (2.) you must be in the seminar room to accept the item when your name is drawn. If not, your name goes back into the box and we draw another name. Fair is fair, right?
Check back for more updates.

Update: July 2011
Its a scorcher almost everywhere this month, even here in the mountains of North Carolina. Although by our standards, ninety degrees is considered unbearable. We have figured out a way, however, of keeping just enough of this extra warmth around to make sure that the third weekend in February will be as balmy as it has been in recent years.
This is another busy month for us, as we are narrowing our selections of topics and speakers for the seven major seminar presentations. After having experienced 192 seminars at the Grove Park Inn over the course of the past 24 years, I know the criteria of a great speaker: solid preparation, new discoveries, fresh research and enthusiasm!
We are also making plans for ways to celebrate our 25th anniversary, so stay tuned as we make those announcements here.
Our brochure will be mailed in September, so if you are not on our mailing list, email us your name and address, along with that of anyone else who would enjoy a three-day celebration with lots of Arts & Crafts enthusiasts.
Until next time,
Bruce
Update: June 2011
Although February may seem like a long ways away, it will be here before you know it so we are working hard and making plans for next year's 25th Anniversary Arts & Crafts Conference. This is a critical time for you to send us any comments on last year's conference and any suggestions for the 2012 Arts & Crafts Conference, ranging from topics for seminars, Small Group Discussions and workshops. We're excited about celebrating our 25th Anniversary and hope that you will make plans to join us there.
Many of you have come to know Sarah who has handled our registration here in the office for the past 5 years, so I wanted to let you know that Sarah has left North Carolina and is now living closer to her family in Oregon. While she hopes to come back in February to see us during the conference, her position has been filled by Alexandra Fisher "Alex" who has been both helping with the Arts & Crafts Conference and ArtsAndCraftsCollector.com for the past year and a half. Alex will be spending more time in the office as she continues to handle technical responsibilities and advertising for ArtsAndCraftsCollector.com and registration for the Arts & Crafts Conference.
We will be mailing out brochures in September but meanwhile, keep checking back here at the website for weekly updates.
Many thanks for all your support and don't forget to read ArtsAndCraftsCollector.com every week for the latest Arts & Crafts news.
